Peter Odemwingie has been delighted with his first season in English football, ending the campaign as leading scorer and beating his personal best goal tally throughout his career.
Speaking to wba.co.uk the Nigerian was quick to pay tribute to the fans for warmly welcoming him to the club and for making him feel so at home so quickly, and he assured fans the least he is hoping to expect next season is another 15 goals...but if he can he's determined to better it to ensure us an even better season.
'I didn't expect this at the beginning of the season, to finish as top scorer is great. Now we can say we have achieved our goals.'
Adding about the fans.
'The supporters have dedicated a song to me and everything is really 'special' - I feel blessed to be here. I feel very, very happy.'
The season has certainly taken a turn for the better, nobody thought we'd be celebrating Midlands top dogs a few months back, or the possibility of a top half finish and a lot of credit has to go to Odemwingie for picking out the goals for us, as well as the team for creating them.
Despite all the rumours, it doesn't sound like he's going to be going anywhere does it.
