Double Winner Mulumbu's Warning For Next Season

Double Winner Mulumbu's Warning For Next Season

After picking up Player and Players' Player of the Season Awards last night, Youssouf Mulumbu knows the Baggies will have to be on their toes next season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after recieving his awards the midfielder insisted next season would be a harder challenge for the Baggies, and although he obviously has a lot of thanks and praise for the efforts of his team mates this season, he knows they will have to redouble that effort next campaign to ensure we don't slip backwards.

'We will have our holidays, have a long rest and then come back ready. It will be a hard season, maybe even harder but with the way we play, we can finish in the top half of the table.'

Mulumbu knows it's not only on the Baggies to improve next campaign, after setting his own standards he now faces the battle of matching or beating them next time out.

'There is big pressure on me now because next season I have to improve and be an even better player.'

Certainly the right attitude, nobody can rest on their laurels or achievements this season because we won't be able to afford passengers next time out.

The more players who show the same desire as Mulumbu to improve even further, then the better a season we will have.
