We Aren't Signing Players To Help Other Clubs

Roy Hodgson has said he has no plans to loan out Craig Dawson again next season after his impressive spell at Rochdale.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said he had been impressed with scouting reports on the 21 year old centre half who scored 10 times for Rochdale during his 45 appearances.

'The feedback has been positive, I'm not looking to loan him out. I don't think we signed him so we could help other clubs to have a player. It'll be up to him now to make certain he shows me and the rest of the staff that those reports are correct.'

Big challenge to Dawson from Hodgson then, but the reports must have been very favourable for Roy to speak like that, not having seen him play, nor having seen him even train as he's out at the moment with injury.
