Hodgson Focused On Top Ten Finish

Hodgson Focused On Top Ten Finish

Roy Hodgson would be delighted to see us finish in the top ten this season, and he believes for that dream to come true we must beat Everton this weekend.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson knows another 3 points against the Toffees would give us a serious chance of achieving that and would also be the perfect tonic after our last result.

'We'd have to beat Everton to give ourselves the chance, we are still on course and would like to be the top Midlands club this year - that would be a fine achievement.'

With the possibility of finishing in the top ten, Hodgson admits he doesn't mind changing our aims for this season ever so slightly given the games left, but ultimately survival was the aim and that has been achieved, and his eyes that more that balances out the disappiontment of the Wolves loss.

'The bottom line is the major goal for us was Premier League survival and we've got that. A defeat, albeit a painful one, sometimes you have to accept as part and parcel of football.'
