Roy's Response:  2nd Half Shows Why We Survived

Roy Hodgson was desperately disappointed with the turn of events today, but he believes the performance in the second half shows why we will be playing in the Premier League next season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson was left rueing the goals we conceded, but was pleased by the reaction of the players in the second half.

'The verdict is if you concede two goals from corner kicks and come out in the second half and concede from an unfortunate error, you give yourselves a mountain to climb. We tried to climb that mountain, we dominated the second half and came very close to scoring more than the one we got. We showed great fighting spirit and determination. I can't ask anymore than what I got from the team in the second half.'

It was unfortunate with how the last few months have gone, but every team slips up like this and clearly Wolves desperately needed the points more than we do and that showed in the first half.

The positives are obviously our second half performance, and that's what Roy will be concentrating on and looking for in the games left.
