Another Record For Odemwingie

Roy Hodgson has lavished further praise on Peter Odemwingie after he became the first ever player to score in four consecutive Premier League games.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson was delighted to see Odemwingie pick up another record in his first season in the league, and he believes he can only get better and better as the seasons go on.

'His goals have been vital, he's done extremely well but I think Peter is a player that still has a large margin of progression. Next year, if we can carry on working with him and we continue working at our game, he'll get even better.'

I really can't see Odemwingie going anywhere in the summer, he's thriving at the Baggies and clearly he enjoys working with Hodgson and after possibly exceeding his own expectations given it's his first season with us, I'd put money on him staying and seeing how much further he can go before he starts looking for his last pay day move - if that's even something on his mind at this point.

At only 29 years old, he's got plenty of seasons left in him in the top flight, and it'd be great if he would spend the majority of them with us.

Been almost a perfect debut season for him hasn't it. If only every signing could bed in that well and have such an impact in the league eh!
