Roy Hodgson has said he will deal with any 'expected interest' in Peter Odemwingie in the summer.
Quoted on the BBC amongst others, Roy says that the focus at the moment is on our survival but he does accept the summer could be an interesting time as Odemwingie has certainly shown he can cope with the demands of the Premier League.
'I'll worry about that when the time comes. Peter's been an excellent signing for the club. He'll be pleased with his season so far, but I hope he's going to agree with me that the only way he can really be satisfied is if he does well for his club and his club stays in the league.'
As we know the 29 year old has banged in 10 goals already this season and despite his hectic 2010 that has been talked about before and his need for a more tailored training regime, he's certainly been turning heads at other clubs.
The honest answer I guess would be that we stand much less of a chance of losing him if we stay in the league, because after a summer rebuild and if Hodgson can continue our development next season in the way he's changed things around now you'd be hard pushed to find many clubs that could represent an improvement for him in my mind.
If we go down it'll be a different story, but that's looking unlikely.
