Gera transfer request turned down

Hungarian international midfielder Zoltan Gera has had a written transfer request rejected by Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace as he stands firm against these players that want out.

I feel a little angry towards Zoltan as the club have done everything that they can during the midfielders time at the club to help him through some tough times. The midfielder spent most of last season in the treatment room as he recovered from hand, groin and hernia operations, the thanks the club gets, a transfer request from the midfielder as he looks for a way out.

So where will Zoltan go? Once a player is set on leaving a club nine times out of ten the player gets his way and moves on. Crystal Palace dug their heels in when star striker Andy Johnson wanted a move the season they were relegated and told him that he wasn`t going anywhere. He stopped with Palace for one more season hoping to fire them to the Premier League, they failed and he was allowed a move to Everton, everything was conducted in a fair way and Palace gave Johnson the move he wanted.

I doubt it is Zoltan Gera pulling the strings behind this move, I believe that he has an agent who is looking to get the Hungarian a premiership move and is pushing the midfielder to make something happen.

Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has made it clear though that Gera`s transfer request has been rejected and that he is not for sale.
