Roy Hodgson has reiterated that the praise for Saturday's victory over Blues should go to the players and not the management team, as he says everybody was man of the match.
Speaking to the Sunday Mercury Roy restated his praise for the performance of the players by saying.
'All the players were man of the match, our performance was pretty much to the letter apart from conceding so soon after we scored.'
Hodgson continued to say that the team should've taken a huge confidence boost from the game as Blues didn't make it easy for us, and he'd like to view the win as though the Baggies have turned the corner now, and he hopes that's how the players view it even though over the next 9 games things won't always go our way.
'I just hope that confidence will improve, and hopefully we have turned some kind of corner. There will be blips in these next 9 games and we have to hope we get the points to stay up.'
Ending the interview Hodgson again says we will have to focus on 42 points to stay up, but with how tight the league is this season we can't even guarantee that will be enough for survival.
But if we make that our target and can reach it sooner rather than later, then there should be games left for us to capitalise on if more points are needed.
