Morrison Delighted With Performance

Morrison Delighted With Performance

James Morrison has called on the Baggies to take the fullest confidence from todays 3-1 derby win over Blues.

Speaking to Sky Sports Morrison said he was delighted to score in what was Roy Hodgson's first victory since taking over the managers hotseat.

'I'm delighted that I scored, delighted it was with my left foot and delighted that we got three points,' said a delighted James.

Paul Scharner, who secured the win with the third goal added.

'We tried everything. Congratulations to the whole team who fought to the end. We deserved to win.'

Morrison quickly set his sights on our next game against Arsenal, subject to it not being rescheduled because of the FA Cup, and he sees no reason why we can't pick up another 3 points when we face them as long as we show the same graft and attitude we did today.

'Arsenal's a tough game but we showed that fighting spirit today and if we take it into next week's game there's no reason why we can't beat Arsenal.'

Onwards and upwards then. Todays win hasn't lifted us in the league but we are keeping our heads above those below us which is the least we can do.
