Carlos Could Become A Jolly Good Vela In May

Roy Hodgson believes Carlos Vela could have a huge part to play in our survival if he's firing on all cylinders come April.

Speaking to Talksport the gaffer explained that although Vela will miss the currently scheduled match against Arsenal in March, due to the terms of the loan agreement, he hopes he is firing on all cylinders come our games in April as from the flashes shown in the last two games he believes he is more than capable of finding the goals that will help us to safety.

'He's taken his chances enormously well, he's certainly showing that he knows where the goal is. I think everything, including relegation will be decided from April through to May and it would be great to have him firing on all cylinders then.'

Vela has certainly proved his worth lately with late goals against Wolves and Stoke, if he could pop up with another, 5 goals at minimum which I think he's more than capable of doing, just how many points could that equal come the end of the season?
