'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Four Draws Are A Solid Foundation

It's Steven Reid day it seems, he believes our 4 February draws have given us the perfect foundation to push on in the Premiership this season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Reid said that the 4 points taken in February (the only other game a loss to Man City) could be pivotal to our survival this season, and whilst a victory or two would've been better, the draws ensure we have lifted ourselves out of the relegation zone and we haven't lost touch with those around us.

'I think they are going to give us a massive boost, we know we can get goals at the end of games and we're delighted.'

According to Reid our point at the Potteries felt like a victory, although again it's just a shame we couldn't have converted another of the many chances we had on the night and made it a real victory, but nontheless Reid was delighted to see Vela put the ball in the back of the net again.

'It feels a bit like a win again. I think that's only one defeat now in our last 5 games. It didn't look like we were going to open Stoke up but it fell to Carlos and he usually does the business. More often than not he will put it away.'

As for his own Baggies future, Reid is hoping to make the right back spot his own for the foreseeable future after returning from injury.

'There are ten games and I will be looking to be involved at the weekend. I'm pleased with how I did on Monday, you've just got to stick with it, show your commitment and not get down and sulk. I will play anywhere for the gaffer and for the team.'
