'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Early Season Success Broke Focus

Chris Brunt has said the Baggies form at the beginning of the season led the players to get carried away, and we are now paying the price for that.

Speaking to the Express & Star our captain admitted that the squad got carried away with the early season form, and it's taken us way too long to wake up to relegation worries we have now.

'Maybe we got a bit too far ahead of ourselves, if you asked anyone at the start of the season what was in store I don't think anyone would've said anything other than a relegation fight. But we did so well that maybe we did start to look too far ahead.'

The aim is now to get that focus back, and build on our performance against Wolves to ensure we work hard enough to pull ourselves clear and there's no better place to prove we have regained that battling consistency nd that our minds are right than Stoke, given our record against them.
