Chris Loves Roy's Brunt Way Of Talking

Chris Loves Roy's Brunt Way Of Talking

Captain Chris Brunt has hailed the gaffers' straight talking style as he believes it can only help us in our battle against relegation.

Speaking to the Express & Star Brunt said that the whole team had welcomed Roy's no nonsense approach to meetings and training, and the players know exactly what he expects from them as we head into the final games of the season.

'He's been great with us but he knows what he wants and if you're not doing your job properly he soon tells you and if somebody like him tells you what you're doing wrong and you listen then you have a good chance of winning games.'

Brunt appreciates the time spent under Di Matteo, the fun and the success but accepts that in the final months of his reign the team had lost discipline on the pitch, and it's one of the key things that Hodgson now demands from them.

'He commanded instant respect when he walked through the door and has a lot of experience, if we lose a game now, we will do so despite being very organised and disciplined. We all want to be Premier League players and the new gaffer is the perfect man to help us.'

Brunt is very hopeful we can comfortably achieve survival with the remaining games left because he's looking forward to seeing what Roy can achieve with the club given what he achieved during his time at Fulham.
