11 More Derby Days On Hodgson's Bill

Roy Hodgson is targeting 11 more Wolves derby performances as the Baggies look to end the season on a high.

Speaking to the Express & Star Hodgson said he wanted each game to mimic the spirit and desire the team showed against Wolves, that has to now be our basic performance and we work to improve from there.

Hodgson also had plenty of praise for the fans in remaining behind the team and spurring them on during games, despite the results we've had.

'The fans are really good and get behind the team and we have to make sure we give them something to really get behind. We've got to give another 11 performances at least on a par with what we produced on Sunday.'

Hodgson knows he asking a lot of the team as he tries to move us away from the relegation zone and he's hopeful that the fans will see the players are giving their best and trying their hardest, even if it doesn't always work out.

'We're playing catch up a little but I can't for one minute find fault with the players. We are half organised in terms of what I would like to see, but you still fall down on the details and the little things and that takes time.'

There isn't much time left and that's the problem. The stats speak for themselves when it comes to our improved defensive performance against Wolves, if we can be a touch more clinical infront of goal and remain that tight at the back we are sure to pick up the points we need to give Roy the summer to complete his rebuilding job.

The fixture list isn't entirely helpful as we have some big games coming up, and there's a few in there that being honest we'd be lucky to get a point from, so it all adds to the pressure to take the maximum return from those games we do consider winnable.
