Paul Robinson is back in contention for Sunday's game against Middlesborough.
The Baggies left back was forced to serve a three match ban following his red card in the Carling Cup match against Fulham.
He told the official site 'To have a three-match ban was a pretty awful experience' and says that he knows he can't expect to just walk back into the team, although Robson may favour the players experience as he has cited Robinson several times as being one of the most consistent players in the squad.
Robinson continued: 'I want to give the manager a selection headache but I don't expect to play because of the way the lads have been performing recently' especially following West Brom's 4-0 thrashing of Everton last weekend. 'He should have the option to keep the same team, but even so, I'm looking forward to being involved again at the weekend. You prepare yourself for the worst but I'm a confident player and, when I wasn't playing last year, I kept fighting and training hard to win back my place.'
Meanwhile Robson has claimed that Ronnie Wallwork is back to his best form and explains he left the player out of a few games due to a loss of confidence:
'The team wasn't playing particularly well at the start of the season and we were having lapses of concentration which were costing us games. I think Ronnie lost his confidence a little bit and some fans were starting to get on his back. That's why I left Ron out for a couple of games. I think that rest and him looking in from the sidelines has seen him come back playing like he was at the end of last season. Ronnie is right back on good form now.'
