'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Baggies seal Hartson transfer

Albion finally got the ball rolling in the transfer market and sealed their move for Celtic striker John Hartson.

Albion had agreed personal terms with Hartson over two weeks ago but the strikers move was held up by Celtic as they had to agree a settlement for the remainder of the Welshman's contract.

Hartson has signed a two-year contract with the Baggies and was impressed by what manager Bryan Robson had to say, a statement from his advisors said, 'For a variety of reasons the time is now right for me to make a change and return to English football.

(West Brom manager) Bryan Robson wants Premiership football back as soon as possible and that leaves me with another big challenge on my hands.'

Hartson is apparently the first deal of the week to be sealed with another striker due to sign by the end of the week.

Former Baggies striker Jason Roberts has been strongly linked with a return but it seems like a long shot with so many top division clubs linked with a move for him.

If Hartson stays fit and avoids suspensions he will bang in 15 goals next season. A good capture for you.

i agree with you....good signing and he will score more than that i think seeing as they're in the championship now

As long as Robbo doesn't play him up front on his own. Then we need to practise centres which are accurate, not goalie bound and row Z.
