West Brom News - Miller and Bednar to go on loan?

Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed that he is willing to allow either Ishmael Miller or Roman Bednar out on loan. Discussions have already been held with Leicester manager Sven Goran Eriksson about Miller and there are rumours that Swansea are trying to sign Bednar.

Speaking to the Official West Bromwich Albion website Di Matteo advised:

'I had a conversation with Sven and it happened the day Ishmael picked up a small injury so I had to pull that one.

Roman is a bit frustrated because he's not getting many chances at the moment.

Once everyone is fit we can address that situation.

There are other players in front of him and it's been difficult for him.

We hope by the end of this week Ishmael can join in training again.'

I would imagine that Bednar might be allowed to leave permanently in January and Miller might be given a month's loan at Leicester to prepare him for a re-introduction to the Premier League. Either way the Baggies will need to sign a new striker in the transfer window to provide effective competition to Odemwingie and Fortuné.
