BAGGIES MOVE FOR MADRID MAN

The Baggies are set to unveil Spanish international Pablo Ibanez as their third summer signing tomorrow. If the deal goes through as expected Pablo will sign on a free transfer from Spanish La Ligue outfit Atletico Madrid.
Pablo, 28, flew to England on Thursday to undertake routine medical examinations and discuss personal terms. The bank holiday means that the results of the medical will now not be known until at least Tuesday. All parties now face an anxious wait before Pablo can be officially unveiled as a Baggies player.
Following fellow defender Gabriel Tamas` free transfer to the Hawthorns it is understood that Roberto Di Matteo will now focus on signing a proven goal scorer. Top of Di Matteo`s wish list is a striker with Premier League experience but with those few and far between and having withdrawn his interest in Stoke striker James Beattie, the West Brom head coach may take a gamble and step up his interest in Bristol City goal scorer Nicky Maynard.
