Robson confirmed Albion have an interest in Cardiff youngster Cameron Jerome and hoped that the two clubs could come to an agreement on the highly rated youngster.
Albion and Cardiff have dealt with each other a great deal over the past two seasons with former City hotshot Rob Earnshaw joining the Baggies originally from Cardiff before going to Norwich.
Riccardo Scimeca and Jason Koumas joined the Welsh club last season and there is talk that any deal for Jerome could involve Koumas heading in the opposite direction.
When asked about the current situation relating to Jerome, Robson said, 'Cardiff want money plus Koumas, but I think it should be the other way round.'
'Jason is probably a better player than Jerome at the moment so if there is any deal to be done, Cardiff have to give.'
Robson had said that Koumas may have a future at The Hawthorns if he had matured during his season at Cardiff. Koumas was player of the year at Cardiff and his impressive 12-goals from midfield helped City to a top half finish.
I would love to see Koumas given another chance at Albion, he is an unbelievable player in the Championship and a real asset but if Robson can do a deal to bring Jerome to The Hawthorns I have a feeling that Koumas will head the opposite way.
Would you rather see Koumas given another chance or is Jerome good enough to fire us back up? Have your say on the message boards.
