'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Three year deal for Reid

It is looking likely that Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid will win a long-term deal at West Bromwich Albion.

According to the News of the World there are claims that Reid is to be offered a three-year deal at the end of this season should Albion secure promotion to the Premier League.

On Vital Blackburn the verdict is that 'Rovers do call the shots with the Reid deal' but that there is also a 'reluctance to sanction a big deal in light of his injury record.'

The tabloids reported a source close to Reid saying: 'Come the end of the year, Steven wants to sort out his future. It has been a stressful time so far because his contract ends at the end of May.

'West Brom will offer him security and he is keen to get that. Blackburn have first option, but so far there has been more interest from West Brom.'
