'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Seasider's come to town

Roberto Di Matteo is considering starting with Ishmael Miller today for the visit of Blackpool.

'I don't think he's ready yet to last 90 minutes but at some point I'd like to throw him into the cold water and start him.'

Could be the right option to try and make sure we get off to a strong start and not allow the opposition to pressure us into conceding soft goals.

Roman Bednar and Jerome Thomas are unlikely to feature as they are both still recovering from injuries.

James Morrison will be a probable starter again, although it is accepted that he is not quite up to full match fitness having been out of the game for so long.

Midfielder Giles Barnes, who has also just returned from a lengthy injury break should also be on from the start and is in a positive frame of mind: 'I`ve got to show everyone that I can stay fit and play 25 or 30 games a season and not have any more injuries.'
