'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Massive win' against the Owls

Sometimes it can start to feel that we are the Arsenal of the Championship, getting roughed up by some of the lower clubs and having to work hard to keep our passing game going.

Giles Barnes had a few thoughts on this after the win against Sheffield Wednesday.

'Everyone who comes to us has to be scrappy because they won't beat us in a football game of out-passing us,' he said on the official site.

He praised the battling spirit of the team but, nonetheless, called for this to continue for the Blackpool game on Saturday.

The victory on Tuesday night certainly showed that we can overcome the tough sides and produce the extra something to claim all of the points. We need to make a habit of it week in and week out though, and I'm sure that is Barnes' point.

He continued: 'Even when we go away people try to stop us playing football and get in our faces; but we proved on Tuesday we can get into people's faces and battle. It was a massive win.'

Saturday will prove to be another big test but this time against Ian Holloway's impressive Blackpool, a club with clear promotion ideas of their own.
