Di Matteo forced to make changes

The Baggies take on Scunthorpe at the Hawthorns tonight and could collect a fourth straight League victory that would keep us in second spot.

Injuries and suspensions mean that RDM will be forced to make some changes; this week he has seen Jerome Thomas, Marek Cech and Ishmael Miller ruled out for at least a fortnight.

Thomas starts a four-match ban tomorrow after collecting his second red card of the season at Plymouth on Saturday.

Cech and Miller suffered injuries at Plymouth and are ruled out for the immediate future.

RDM confirms: "They are not long-term injuries. But Marek Cech will be out for a two weeks and Ishmael a bit longer than that."

Jara, Koren and Jonas Olsson were all rested on Saturday so can be expected to return.

Brunt covering for Thomas on the left is an option but I'm not sure whether new boy Andy Slory is ready to step in on the right wing.

This is obviously quite a tester for Di Matteo and one that we will be watching develop very closely. More news as soon as we get it.
