'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bednar's view on new system

In his post match interview Roman Bednar seemed very pleased with the 3-1 result against Sheffield United but critical of his own performance.

Although he put away a terrific strike he said of his recent form that he was, 'really disappointed with the Ipswich game because I had 3 or 4 good chances. Today again, 2 chances (that) I should score.'

Much has been said in recent weeks of the merits of playing Bednar up front on his own and it was interesting that the striker revealed that he was enjoying it. 'I don't really feel alone there at all - all of the midfield players support me really well. I'm enjoying (it) but it's not just on me.'

With goals coming from the midfield pack as well this certainly seems to ring true, but I guess we will have to wait and see whether Bednar is just defending Di Matteo's tactics or whether he is really feeling comfortable with this decision.

Over to you RDM.
