Giles Barnes now training with Albion
Word has it that Birmingham City new hopeful Giles Barnes is now training at West Brom.
The 21 year old midfielder was released from Derby County last week, and has been training with Alex McLeish's Barclays Premier League side with a view to earning himself a new contract.
'He had a lot of other options but is now training with West Brom,' McLeish said.
Derby boss, Nigel Clough, decided to allow Barnes a fresh start somewhere else as he seeks to trim his playing staff. He had been a vital part of Derby's promotion push three years ago.
