'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool game frozen out

ROBERTO Di Matteo fully accepted referee Dave Foster's decision to call off yesterday's game although the boss was more than disappointed at missing a chance to strengthen Albion's position in the League.

'We desperately wanted to play the game - as I think did Ian Holloway - but Mother Nature has flexed her muscles over the last couple of days.'

'Blackpool don't have any covers for their pitch and the referee was quite adamant that the surface wasn't safe. We fully accept that and there's nothing we can do about it.'

Next up is Peterborough, at home, on Boxing Day. Di Matteo added: 'We won't see the supporters now until Boxing Day so I would like to wish them all a Happy Christmas.'

Happy Christmas as well from all of us at VitalWBA. See you in the New Year for the most prosperous of seasons.
