Brunt and Bednar boost for West Brom

According to the official website Roberto Di Matteo is hopeful of having key duo Chris Brunt and Roman Bednar back for selection.

'Roman has spent last week, Monday, and yesterday doing rehab work with the physio,' said the head coach.'Hopefully, if everything goes to plan, he will be able to join the squad in training tomorrow.'

As the last few games have shown, we have lacked a real cutting edge up front and could probably use the experience that Bednar and Brunt, both international players, could bring.

On Brunt, Di Matteo says: '(He) had his first training session with us yesterday so let's hope he can get through the week; we will then see how he is on Saturday.'

Whether this will mean that young Simon Cox and Chris Wood will be back on the bench at the weekend remains to be seen. But given Watford's impressive performance last Saturday we are going to need as many options up front as possible.
