Borja Valero signs for West Brom

All Baggies will be relieved that the signing of Borja Valero has been completed for a club record £4.75m.

The Real Mallorca midfielder has penned a four year deal and will be a useful addition to the Baggies midfield following Zoltan Gera's departure to perennial relegation strugglers Fulham.

Valero is a creative midfielder that is expected to either play on the right or in the centre of midfield.

Tony Mowbray will surely be delighted with signing long time target Valero and he now hopes that he can pin down a deal for Oscar Trejo.

Valero's and Trejo's agent, Martan Paledes, is now travelling to Spain to try to persuade Trejo that his future lies at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies also hope to sign Charlton's Zheng Zhi later this week.

The next two weeks could be very exciting for Baggies fans as Tony Mowbray, backed by Jeremy Peace, continues his ambitious plans to stengthen the squad before the transfer window closes.

Young, exciting, expensive, exhilarating. Delighted with this bit of business. Come on Trejo and join too! I wonder if he'll go straight in?

I imagine that Valero will be on the subs bench on Saturday. Its looking likely that Koren will be fit for the Everton game as well. TM is going to have a real selction headache very soon!!
