West Brom's Premier League return was never going to be an easy one after being handed Arsenal away for their opening fixture.

Manager Tony Mowbray has completely reshaped the squad that last appeared in the top flight 3 seasons ago, but despite an early goal perhaps leading many to believe it would end in a rout, the team gave a respectable account of themselves.

Samir Nasri opened the scoring in just the 3rd minute, with the flood gates predicted to open. However, West Brom came back in to the game and should have levelled in early in the second half - only a save from Manuel Almunia and a clearance from Johann Djourou kept the Baggies' from drawing level whilst Arsenal tired after the match.

And the West Brom boss said he's in confident mood for the rest of the season.

On that picture Mowbray looks like Tommy Cooper (RIP).
