Latest on Baros' 'move' to the Baggies

Speaking to Daz Hale on Radio WM this evening Milan Baros' agent, Pavel Paska, confirmed what we all suspected that the Daily Mirror's report that the Baggies are in for Baros is quite simply wrong.

Asked directly whether Baros would be coming to West Brom Pavel Paska responded 'No,no,no'!!! Instead Baros will return to Lyon following his loan stay at Portsmouth where he infamously set up Pompey's winning goal in the Semi Final with West Brom with an obvious handball.

The story always seemed ridiculous as the wages that the player might want would be well out of the Baggies reach. The former Liverpool and Villa man is no better than what we have and were he to join he would smash through our wage structure something Chairman Jeremy Peace and Manager Tony Mowbray have insisted won't happen.

Most of the rumours flying around at the moment are the product of overly enthusiastic journalists or agents attempting to secure better deals for their players. I suspect that this season, just like last, the signings will come out of the blue and be for players that are relatively unknown on these shores.

Hardly ripped up any trees at Pompey has he? Even if you could afford him I'd stay well clear. No longer the sharp shooter he used to be and I reckon Bednar's up and at em style will ruffle more feathers in the premiership than Baros.

Bednar is definitely a better all around player than Baros but just lacks that little bit of extra pace that would make him exceptional. I am sure he is not the type of player we will go for.
Lord Shepherd
Baros has the experience, quick feet (and hands) and would do a good job for you. Problem is he only scores goals for the Czech Rep not his club side!
eastneydave
I would stay away from him, you need comeone who will score more goals.
marron
Goalscoring really hasn't been a problem as we have scored over 100 goals in each of the last two seasons. Baros won't be coming we can guarantee that.
Lord Shepherd
Save your money the blokes a lazy tool who will bring nothing to the baggies table. You will need players giving their all next season not having games when they cfan't be arsed. Baros=relegation.
col8
Baros is a bit of maverick and would not fit well into our team.
Lord Shepherd
That should be a huge sigh of relief if Baros isn't coming. He's never done anything during his time in the Premiership.
dazza71
Steer clear fellas .. he works hard but just doesn't score goals.. have a look at his goals per game ratio
Chix
Funnily enough he always managed to score against West Brom or cause us problems one way or another. Apparently Bolton are after him now.
Lord Shepherd
leave Baros well alone - he's a fading player!

Mogga will turn his club form around. Besides, WBA style will suit him I think. Bednar and Baros - sounds very similar to Koller and Baros at International i.e Big man, Small man.
Just-an-Ipswich-fan
Steer well clear, waste of time and money.
