Davies to be Captain Marvel

Bryan Robson is backing Curtis Davies to be a Baggies captain for years to come as the young defender has all the attributes needed to lead Robson's side.

Davies who has captained the Baggies side already this season is only 20 years-old and has impressed with some mature displays.

Robson has alternated his captains this season between veteran Kevin Campbell, Davies and former club captain Darren Moore who has now departed for Derby County.

Davies faces competition from Albion's current longest serving player Neil Clement, Paul Robinson and new signing from Southampton Nigel Quashie.

Robson seems to favour Davies, Robson told the Sunday Mirror, 'Curtis has got all the qualities to be captain of this club for a very long time to come.'

'If he carries on working at his game and improving he can develop into a really top player.'

Davies seems to have the attitude and all of the attributes to be captain, he has become a fans favourite and hopefully he will be at the centre of the Baggies defence for years to come.
