On-loan striker Luke Moore has admitted that he hopes that he can be the man that fires West Brom all the way back to the promised land of the Premier League.
The former Aston Villa striker is on loan at the Hawthorns until the end of the season, with a £3million permanent move (rising to £3.5million) already agreed.
Speaking to BBC West Midlands the striker said:
“I just want to play and score as many goals as I can. All footballers are the same and I am no different.
“It's going to be a big job to get promoted but we're going to work as hard as we can.”
Following his first week with the club, the team spirit amongst the Albion players and the style of football that the Baggies play are definite plus points for the Birmingham-born forward:
“I've thoroughly enjoyed my first week,“ Moore told the official club website.
“The training has been good and varied. I've got nothing but good things to say about this place and I'm very optimistic about the future.
“Albion play decent football and the gaffer wants to play in the right way, which suits me. What I'd heard about the manager has been proved correct.”
Is there a wrong way to play football? Perhaps at the Villa they play crab football? Who knows, who cares, as long as Moore fires us into the Premiership!
